In Fear 2013
Gizem
In fear is an independent film that was released on November 15, 2013, directed by Jeremy Loverlings. On the internet I was not able to find much on In Fear but I was able to find out a little bit. I know that the production company is called Big Talk Productions which have done many other numerous films that we have heard of; Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010), Paul (2011), Attack The Block (2011), Sight Seers (2012) and The World's End (2013).
They have been reviewed by a site called Film School Rejects. (http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/reviews/sundance-2013-review-in-fear-rhunt.php) From the name of the site we already know that they movie was not very good to have gotten on this website.
They have used different types of marketing stratergies to get viewers such as having a traier which could be watched on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5ZbJgUOwwU. They also have facebook page but only a couple of hundred people like it: https://www.facebook.com/InFearUK, in addition they aso have interviews with the actors about the film:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_XU1Gtq3VY

Reviews:
There are not many reviews for 'in fear' due to the fact that it hasn't been release however we could judge by the ratings in IMDb we could look at this rating to give us a visual idea of what the viewer thinks about the movie. The rating is 5.1/10 from 137 users, this is certain that most of the audiences are not engaged to see the movie from their responses to the trailer from a very low budgeted company.

In fear sets out to release the movie locally around cine-world making this in 2D and then the movie will be released through formatted DVD around February to May 2014.
Competition with other films in the same week
The movie 'In fear' will have a very difficult time to compete with other mainstream films being released at the same time such as Hunger games: mocking Jay with big companies promoting through lots of advertisements. This is due to the lack of advertisements and sponsorship they earn from the fact that they are an independent British company not world wide publicized globally. The company would have to compete to get the movie known for the reviews to become more positive whilst gain more financially due to the fact it is produced with a low budget. In Fear 2013

Tee - In Fear.
In Fear
Trapped in a maze of country roads with only their vehicle for protection, Tom and Lucy are terrorizes by a unseen tormentor exploiting their worst fears. Eventually they realize that they've let the evil in - its sitting in their car. The director of this film is Jeremy Lovering and the main cast are Iain De Caestecker, Alice Englert and Allen Leech.
This is a British low budget film and the most probable way of distributing this would be things such as Facebook and Twitter, which are social networking sites. This is because it is free and can reach a wide audience Also, because the movie is not a no budget film, the film can still do a little advertising like TV trailers.

Tee - Thor: the Dark World Essay
Discuss the marketing and distribution in Thor: the Dar World. Outlining anything interesting you have found.
Thor: the Dark world is a film sequel to the film Thor, Disney is the distributor for the film and its production company is Marvels Studios. Marvel Studios is responsible for many other great films, such as, Hulk, Iron man, X-man, Fantastic four and more. Thor is a fictional character that is a part of the Avengers along with Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and more.
Marketing is an important feature needed for spreading the word about film. Thor: the Dark World was marketed in many different ways, including things like posters, billboard ads, bus posters, merchandise, conventions and trailers. There is a special trailer that came out on YouTube as a part of YouTube’s Geek Week. There are plenty types of merchandises action figures and costumes, and there is a mobile game that was released in conjunction with the film called Thor: the Dark world: The Official game. Also a television series called the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D that will be shown on the British channel 4. The producer and some cast members presented footage at Disney's D23Expo. Also, in August 2012, Disney announced plans to promote the film with an attraction at Disneyland. The Internet has a lot to do with the promotion of Thor, through things like social networking sites, such as, Facebook and Twitter.
The movie came on the 30th of October in the UK and this was during half term. The reason why it was released on this day is because the target audience is teenagers and this is a time where they are available to go and see the film. The tracking shows that the film could gross over $75 million during its opening weekend in North America, which would surpass the $65.7 million opening of the first Thor film and could be the strongest November release of all time. The main character Chris Hemsworth said that he is contracted for another Thor film. The film has not earned 109.4 million worldwide and the film went straight to number one in the UK so it is predicted to be successful, although sequels usually have a successful initial start and then begins to drop.
The film has many special effects and Peter Bradshaw described it as being a product of CGI (computer generated imagery). The film is available in 2D, 3D, Imax, Isense and DBax. The film has ben rated 6.4 out of 10 on the rotten tomato website.

Thor 2 has been long anticipated after Thor and the Avengers. Because of how successful they were, Marvel then decided to produce a sequel in hopes of making an even bigger profit.
It is Marvel's tent pole movie this year and they hope to make a marginal profit from it. It was released on 30th October 2013 and gained a lot of attention at the premiere at Odeon Leicester Square. The main stars of this production are Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tom Hiddleston who play the three main characters; Thor, Jane and Loki. The actors involved in the film also contribute to attracting an audience as well known actors may influence an audiences decision to see the movie. The film was shot in London and Iceland and was seen as an extensive film project. The director also plays a part in encouraging an audience to view the film as Alan Taylor is known for directing Games Of Thrones which was a massive hit. It contains cross media convergence as it first started out as a comic that was then developed into a film and branches out into other areas of Marvel.

To promote Thor 2; The Dark World, Marvel released a teaser trailer in April 2013 which played for 106 seconds to entice the audience. Featuring the main characters from the prequel along with clips of main action scenes from the movie Later on in August of the same year, a second trailer was released which extends on the previous trailer, making audiences anticipate the movie. At the 2013 San-Diego Comic Con, Tom Hiddleston dressed up as Loki and introduced official footage from the film to further promote it. Disneyland also announced plans to create an attraction called 'Treasures of Asgard' which takes inspiration from the movie. Its audience has also helped to distribute the movie by advertising it on social networking sites such as Tumblr and Facebook.

Tee - Thor 2 Homework

Homework: Thor 2
Thor: The Dark World is an American superhero film staring the Marvel Comic character Thor. I was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the eight instalment of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alan Taylor is the director of the movie and there are great stars like Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Idris Elba and Christpher Hemsworth. Thor 2 was produced by Kevin Feige. This movie is the following to the movie Thor, by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby and Larry Lieber. This sequel was announced after the crossover film Marvels The Avengers. The production budget for the film is not yet applicable although we know it was a big budget movie. Thor 2 has a lot of animated features and effects that would require a lot of money, so the budget must have been quite large.

In March 2013, a two-issue comic book was announced to be released in June before film is released. In July at the Diego Comic-Con International, Hiddleston introduced footage from the film to audiences in character as Loki. Also in July, Gameloft announced that a mobile video game titled, Thor the Dark World: The Official Game, would be released in conjunction with the release of the film in November. In August 2013, Marvel released a second trailer for the film ad part of YouTube's Geek Week. Later in the month, the producer and some cast members presented footage at Disney's D23Expo. Also, in August 2012, Disney announced plans to promote the film with an attraction at Disneyland.

What we learnt from making a swede.
What we learnt from making a swede:
Firstly we learnt how important pre-planning is, and how it allows filming to go smoothly if planned properly. If pre-planning is not done, production process becomes really difficult.
Production is the stage that we filmed and we found out it was very difficult to remember lines and to repeat scenes. We learnt that is is necessary that we are prepared. Editing was extremely hard as we had to look through all the scenes and select the best ones which took time. Also, getting everything in order and adding music was time consuming.
Another thing we learnt was that marketing is very important for a movie, especially for a no budget films, with unknown actors and directors, as the word needs to spread. Social teleworking sites and youtube are good ways to spread no budgets films as it is free and it can lead to being spread by word of mouth - which is also free.
